Our Policies

1. PRICING
1.1 “We” refers to thecraftmill.co.uk in the following terms. Any person placing an order with us may be referred to as “customer” “you” or “buyer”.
1.2 We reserve the right to alter prices at any time.
1.3 If a pricing error occurs we will contact you to offer a suitable alternative or issue a full refund.

2. PLACING AN ORDER
2.1 Orders can be placed online only.
2.2 A 50% deposit upon placing a bespoke order is required, with the full balance payable before dispatch. We will not dispatch any items before final balance is received.
2.3 If for any reason any goods are unavailable we will contact you to offer a suitable alternative or issue a full refund.
2.4 Any drawings submitted to you must be checked and approved via email before work on bespoke orders commences. We cannot be held responsible if there is an error in the drawing after approval.
2.5 Bespoke orders are not included in any offers, reductions or sales.
2.6 Packages are excluded from any additional online, instore or telephone offers.

3. PRODUCT INFORMATION
3.1 Our furniture is handmade, the manufacturing process is left visible in our products, this includes saw marks, strap marks, cracks, knots and surface blemishes. This is not a defect or fault and is not refundable or returnable for this reason alone.
3.2 Dimensions shown in mm, they are approximate only and can change through the building process.
3.3 We offers variations of finishes; We try and show these in our listings as accurately as possible, but we cannot give 100% accurate depictions of colour due to differences in lighting, screen and device settings when viewing online.
3.4 We reserve the right to photograph any of our products, (standard or bespoke), for use in our online catalogues or listings and for use in social media and public display.
3.5 Bespoke items including desks etc may need some assembly upon delivery. We aim to build our products in the most simple way possible and in a way that can be broken down for transit. Some limited skills and tools may be required for assembly.

3.6 Our furniture is classed as "Rustic", made largely from Scaffold Boards. As our products are made from these materials our furniture may contain, knots, cracks, blemishes and surface roughness. These are not faults in the product, but are characteristics of the materials we use. They cannot be used as grounds for any returns or claims for refunds. These qualities are included within our definition of the term "Rustic". We also deem "Rustic" to include some gaps, warping of timber, visible screwheads and construction methods not associated with more high-end furniture.

The term "Rustic" is defined as plain and simple fashion.

4. FAULTY GOODS
4.1 If any goods arrive defected please contact us immediately, responsibility cannot be accepted after a 48 hour period.
4.2 Photographic evidence may be requested when reporting faulty goods.

5. CANCELLATIONS
5.1 Orders may be cancelled within 7 days of checkout via email.
5.2 Cancellations outside of 7 days will be subject to a loss of deposit or 30% of the total sale amount.
5.3 Bespoke items are subject to a loss of pre-paid deposit after a 7 day period (from order date) to cover any time and materials used.

6. RETURNS AND UNWANTED GOODS
6.1 Items must be returned well packaged and be fit for resale upon return, within 7 days of delivery.
6.2 Postage for non faulty or unwanted items is to be paid for by the customer. A trackable and insured service must be used and we must be provided with a tracking number.
6.3 We are not responsible for any damage caused in transit when any item is returned. If any item is returned not suitable for resale, no refund will be issued.
6.4 Once items are received, we will inspect them to check their quality and a refund will be issued within 7 days if they are in good condition.

6.5 Any bespoke orders can only be returned if the item is not in a fit state for purpose, is deemed sub-standard, or faulty. 

7. DELIVERY
7.1 We can deliver to all mainland UK, we can provide overseas shipping however you would need to contact us before placing your order to get a quote.
7.2 Smaller items will be sent out using Royal Mail to lower the cost of delivery.
7.3 We aim to deliver within the estimated timeframe of 2 to 4 weeks for standard items and between 3 to 5 weeks for bespoke. This is from the date the order is placed or from date of approval.
7.4 We offer no compensation for late deliveries due to unforeseen circumstances.
7.5 We always try and send out larger items using a courier using a 24 or 48 hour service. If you need any kind of express service, this must be agreed before ordering and will incur an extra cost.
7.6 We do not accept responsibility to any items delivered if you are not present to accept delivery from the courier service at the specified delivery address. The courier may leave the items outside the property or return to their premises. It is the buyers responsibility to take delivery or retrieve the items once delivery has been attempted.
7.7 Failed delivery caused by you will result in the forfeit of the cost of delivery. The same charge will be applicable to re deliver your items.
7.8 We are not responsible for any damage made during transit, we will help out to resolve any issues you may have but the buyer assumes responsibility one our products leave us.

8. LIABILITY
8.1 We take care to check the accuracy of the information given. However, we do not warrant that such information will be error free and the user acknowledges that information, products and services published may include inaccuracies and typological errors.

9. PRIVACY POLICY
9.1 We only use the information we collect about you carefully, lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Information we hold: If you have shopped with us we will hold your name, address, telephone number and email address. We will also hold the delivery address(es) for your orders. We also maintain a record of your product selections. We will not disclose or pass on your details to any third party. We will use your email address to contact you to advise of any promotional offers or new product ranges. If you do not wish to be contacted please opt out or contact us. All orders are subject to our terms and conditions, these do not affect your statutory rights.

10.1 When you purchase from us, you will subscribed to our mailing list. We will, from time-to-time contact you via email to let you know about offers and new products etc. You will have the opportunity to unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time.
